Funeral Program Major General Victor Joseph Jr
Major General Victor Joseph Hugo Jr was a warrior, a soldier, my mentor, and most of all… my friend. It was his belief in me and the work I was doing that convinced him to introduce me to the then “Colonel of the Regiment” MG Donald C. Hilbert, USA (RET.). That meeting expanded my mission to include working and walking among the US Army’s oldest infantry regiment – the 3d infantry regiment – “The Old Guard” and much more, such as a published author! Thank you, General Hugo!
General Hugo, a West Point graduate, class of 1954, passed away at the age of 89 on 11 MAY 2020. Although it was a sad day for anyone who knew Vic Hugo, the General would have said,
“Don’t be sad because I’m gone, instead, smile because I was here.”

Special Forces Cordon For the General
Several members of the Special Forces Association formed a cordon honoring MG Victor Hugo.
Final Resting Location
MG Hugo is at rest in Section 15A grave 36 in Arlington National Cemetery.
